MONTHLY PROGRAMS
Solanco Historical Society offers free programs on the third Saturday of each month, except May and December, at its meeting room at 1932 Robert Fulton Highway, Fulton Township, 6 miles south of Quarryville, PA 17566 (across from the Robert Fulton Birthplace in the red brick building). The educational and informative presentations are provided by historians, collectors, teachers, authors and researchers. Programs begin shortly after 1:30 p.m. You’re welcome to join us!
April 18, 2026 at 1:30 PM - “Hurricane Agnes and Its Effect on the Susquehanna Valley” by Dr. Robert Frick
May 16th - There will be no program presentation on this regularly scheduled date due to the Civil War Living History event on the Robert Fulton Birthplace grounds.
May 15th, 16th & 17th - A “Civil War Living History and Tactical Demonstrations” event is planned by the 2nd Pennsylvania Cavalry/59th Regiment Volunteers Co. D. Please join us for tours of the army encampment; conversations with the participants - President Lincoln, Civil War Generals, boy soldiers; tactical demonstrations, firearms and artillery; signal corps; 19th century dance demonstrations; gun collections; and books on various aspects of the Civil War. No entrance fee, parking is $3.00 per vehicle; food truck and restrooms available.
May 25th (Memorial Day) through September 7th (Labor Day) - The Robert Fulton Birthplace will be open Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. for tours of the Birthplace and a historical video.
June 20th at 1:30 p.m. - Stanley White, President of Solanco Historical Society, will present a program on “Camargo Mill.”
