MONTHLY PROGRAMS
Solanco Historical Society offers free programs on the third Saturday of each month, except May and December, at its meeting room at 1932 Robert Fulton Highway, Fulton Township, 6 miles south of Quarryville, PA 17566 (across from the Robert Fulton Birthplace in the red brick building). The educational and informative presentations are provided by historians, collectors, teachers, authors and researchers. Programs begin shortly after 1:30 p.m. You’re welcome to join us!
May 25th (Memorial Day) through September 7th (Labor Day) - The Robert Fulton Birthplace will be open Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. for viewing a historical video and a tour of the Birthplace. Visitors are welcome to browse historical plantings in the kitchen garden behind the Birthplace. About 200 feet southwest of the garden is a 1-1/2 mile trail with native plantings and a variety of habitats.
June 20th at 1:30 p.m. - Stanley White, archivist and President of Solanco Historical Society, will present a program at the archive building on the history of Camargo Mill, which is located in Quarryville.
