Why give?
Solanco Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational corporation. It is funded by member dues, fundraising events and farm rental income. It is not funded by any government agency, therefore donations, volunteer assistance and ideas for fundraisers are welcomed. Our mission is to preserve the heritage of southern Lancaster County for future generations and your donation is greatly appreciated in support of that goal.

Your donation helps support Solanco Historical Society’s efforts to preserve the history of the Southern End in many ways, such as purchases of copying supplies; repair of computers, copiers and scanners; heating and cooling of facilities to maintain proper storage temperatures; and creation of new exhibits for public education.
Artifacts
If you have old photographs, documents or artifacts relating to individuals, families, businesses or transportation in the Southern End, please consider donating them to Solanco Historical Society. Our archivists will review them and if accepted, they will have you fill out a form to document the donation. Please come to our headquarters any Wednesday morning or the days shown below. Donated photographs can be scanned and the original returned to you. We are always interested in adding to our collection. It is a good way to honor your ancestors and community by preserving the history of southern Lancaster County.
